Open Stage on Tour

Bring live theatre experiences to your students or community.

Professional theatre, brought directly to your community

Open Stage on Tour brings high-quality, professional theatre directly to schools, libraries, retirement communities, and community spaces across Central Pennsylvania. Our touring productions remove barriers to access while delivering meaningful, curriculum-connected live performance.

Each show is performed by Open Stage Resident Artists and includes an age-appropriate post-show discussion, giving audiences the chance to engage with professional actors about the story, the history, and the art of theatre.

For Schools, Libraries & Community Groups

Our touring productions are designed to work in a wide range of spaces with minimal technical needs. We regularly partner with:

  • Public libraries

  • Elementary, middle, and high schools

  • Retirement communities

  • PTOs, foundations, and community organizations

Why Us

Open Stage on Tour brings live performance directly to students and audiences—ensuring access regardless of budget or location.

  • Direct interaction with professional artists

  • Curriculum support for ELA, history, and social studies

  • Opportunities for discussion, reflection, and critical thinking

  • A shared, human live-theatre experience

A Legacy of Trust

Open Stage has more than 40 years of experience producing educational and community-centered theatre, including longstanding work connected to A Christmas Carol and the story of Anne Frank. Our touring program builds on that history with care, integrity, and a deep commitment to educators and audiences.
