About

After delighting students across Central Pennsylvania this winter, Charlotte’s Web comes home to Open Stage for a special public performance.

This heartwarming adaptation by Joseph Robinette of E. B. White’s beloved classic brings the friendship of Wilbur and Charlotte to life through imaginative storytelling, inventive staging, and a small ensemble of professional actors. Tender, funny, and deeply moving, the story reminds us that even the smallest among us can make a difference.

Created as part of our Open Stage on Tour program, this production has been traveling directly into schools throughout the midstate — sharing the joy of live theatre with hundreds of students. Now, families have the opportunity to experience it together on our stage.

With a brisk 45-minute runtime and a spirit that celebrates kindness, loyalty, and courage, Charlotte’s Web is a perfect introduction to live theatre for young audiences — and a nostalgic return for adults who grew up loving the story.
