Open Stage is currently accepting video submissions and casting inquiries for our landmark 41st season.
We’re seeking passionate, playful, and dynamic performers of all identities, backgrounds, and abilities to help bring this exciting season to life. Whether you’re a seasoned professional or new to our stage, we want to hear from you.
Auditions are open to performers age 18+. Roles are available in musicals, plays, concerts, and ensemble-driven productions. All rehearsals and performances take place in Harrisburg, PA. Honorariums are paid for most roles. Housing is not provided.
Performers may be cast in multiple productions throughout the season.

An outdoor evening of Broadway and contemporary musical theatre favorites.
Seeking:
Strong singers and musical storytellers of all backgrounds and voice types.
Harold and Maude

2 principal actors and a small ensemble of strong comedic character performers.
Night of the Living Dead LIVE

A fast-paced horror-comedy adaptation inspired by the iconic film.
Seeking:
Actors with strong comedic instincts, physical performers, featured zombies, and ensemble players. This is a physically demanding production involving stage combat, falls, crawling, gore effects, and horror elements.
Emmet Otter’s Jug-Band Christmas
based on the classic television special and book by Russell Hoban
Main Stage | November–December 2026
Open Stage’s holiday tradition returns with heart, humor, puppetry, live music, and BBQ.
Seeking:
Actor-musicians, singers, puppeteers, comedic performers, and family-friendly ensemble players.
The Guy Who Didn’t Like Musicals

A horror-comedy musical in which a mysterious musical pandemic begins infecting a small town.
Seeking:
Excellent comedic actors with strong pop/rock musical theatre voices. Ensemble performers, featured comedic character actors, and versatile singer-actors encouraged.
California Dreamin’: Celebrating Folk Rock of the 60’s
Studio Theatre | May–June 2027
A concert celebration of the sun-soaked sounds of Laurel Canyon and the folk-rock artists who defined a generation.
Seeking:
3–5 powerhouse singers with strong harmonies, musical versatility, and engaging stage presence. Performers who play instruments are encouraged to submit.
