About
Open Stage is developing a new one-hour version of the show with plans to take it to the Orlando Fringe Festival — and this free table read is your first chance to hear it.
Come be part of the process as we test the script, hear what lands, and take the first steps toward bringing this Harrisburg-made production to audiences beyond Central Pennsylvania.
In this fun and farcical adaptation, Agatha Christie’s famous sleuth Hercule Poirot brings all of his wits to bear to solve the mystery of the Western Star, a rare gem with dark and dangerous origins — and to protect its unsuspecting movie-star owner along the way.
Expect a priceless diamond, a murder, eccentric suspects, questionable accents, quick character changes, and one very self-satisfied detective.
The reading will be followed by a short audience talkback and cookie reception.
Praise for previous productions of POIROT INVESTIGATES!:
“A fast-paced, smart, farcical romp.”
— BroadwayWorld
“Even a dead body in the middle of the room can’t bring it down.”
— TheBurg
“Laughter from beginning to end.”
— BroadwayWorld
Be among the first to hear the new version and help send Poirot on the Road!
