About
A Satirical Journey Redefining Black American Culture
Step into "The Colored Museum," where bold satire meets provocative storytelling. Originally premiering in 1986, this groundbreaking show presents a series of 11 "exhibits" that challenge and redefine Black American culture. Playwright George C. Wolfe describes it as both "an exorcism and a party," electrifying, discomforting, and delighting audiences of all colors. From confronting stereotypes to celebrating resilience, each exhibit offers a unique perspective on what it means to be Black in contemporary America. With fearless humor and insightful commentary, "The Colored Museum" delivers a thought-provoking exploration of identity, history, and hope. Don't miss this innovative and seriously funny tour that shakes up perceptions and demands attention.
