How to cast our shows to your TV with your smartphone or tablet


You'll need:

  • A Chromecast device or Smart TV with the YouTube app installed.
  • A smartphone or tablet with the YouTube app installed.
  • All devices connected to the same Wi-Fi network.

Steps:
  1. Open the YouTube app on your smartphone or tablet.
  2. Search for "Open Stage" and select our logo from the list.
  3. Tap the "Subscribe" button.
  4. Select a show to watch, our latest shows are at the top.
  5. Select the Cast icon in the corner of the video.
  6. Select your TV from the list of cast destinations.*
  7. Enjoy the show!
*If you have a Smart TV with the YouTube app installed:
  • I haven't linked my smart device to my Smart TV's YouTube app.
    • See "How to link your smart device to your Smart TV's YouTube app".
  • I already linked my smart device to my Smart TV's YouTube app.
    1. On your Smart TV open the YouTube app.
    2. On your smart device select "YouTube on TV" from the list of cast destinations.

How to watch our shows on your Smart TV's YouTube app


You'll need:

  • A Smart TV or streaming device with the YouTube app installed.
Steps:
  1. Open the YouTube app on your Smart TV or streaming device.
  2. Search for "Open Stage" and select our logo from the list.
  3. Select the "Subscribe" button at the top right.
  4. Select a show to watch, our latest shows are at the top.
  5. Enjoy the show!

How to set up a new Chromecast device


You'll need:

  • A Chromecast device.
  • A TV or display with an HDMI input.
  • A smartphone or tablet with the Google Home app installed.
  • A Google account.
  • Access to a secure Wi-Fi network.

More of a visual person? So are we! See the Chromecast Setup Guide. Steps:
  1. Plug in your Chromecast device to a power outlet using the USB adapter.
  2. Plug the device into an open HDMI port on the back of your TV.
  3. You should see the Chromecast welcome screen, if you don't try changing the input on your TV to the HDMI port you used when plugging in the device.
  4. Download the "Google Home" app to your smartphone or tablet.
  5. Open the "Google Home" app, if it asks to turn on bluetooth, please do!
  6. If you see "Set up 1 device" at the top of your screen tap that.
    • If you don't see that button tap the '+' symbol on the top left of your screen, then tap "Set up device" then "New device".
  7. Follow the prompts.

How to watch a show in The Vault on your TV


You'll need:

  • An Open Stage account and subscription to The Inner Circle
  • A Chromecast device or Smart TV with the YouTube app installed.
  • A smartphone or tablet with the YouTube app installed.
  • All devices connected to the same Wi-Fi network.

Steps:
  1. Go to www.openstagehbg.com/the-vault on your smartphone or tablet.
  2. If it asks, log in to your Open Stage account.
  3. Swipe over and tap on the show you want to watch.
  4. Once it's playing tap on the show title next to the Open Stage logo, this will open the show in the YouTube app. If the show title becomes hidden, tap on the video to show it again.
  5. Select the Cast icon in the corner of the video.
  6. Select your TV from the list of cast destinations.*
  7. Enjoy the show!
*If you have a Smart TV with the YouTube app installed:

How to link your smart device to your Smart TV's YouTube app


You'll need:

  • A Smart TV with the YouTube app installed.
  • A smartphone or tablet with the YouTube app installed.
  • All devices connected to the same Wi-Fi network.
Steps:
  1. Open the YouTube app on your smartphone or tablet.
  2. Select the Cast icon at the top.
  3. Look for the "Link with TV code" option.
  4. You'll see a box to enter a code. Leave this open, we'll come back to it.
  5. Go to your TV and with your TV's remote open the YouTube app.
  6. Go to the left menu and down to "Settings".
  7. Once in settings, go to "Link with TV code".
  8. Now enter the code displayed on your TV into the YouTube app on your smartphone or tablet.
  9. Tap "Link".
  10. Now that your smart device is linked to your TV you will not have to repeat these steps.

How to watch our shows on your Smart Display


You'll need:

  • A Smart Display like Google Nest Hub or Amazon Echo Show.
Steps:
  1. Say "Show me Open Stage on YouTube"
  2. Select a show to watch or if we're live streaming tune-in by tapping our logo on the left.





Troubleshooting

YouTube: I have sound but no video or a static image.


If you are trying to watch one of our shows on YouTube but you only can hear the show and not see it, try these steps: Watching on TV:

  1. Go back 1 page by pressing the back button on your remote.
  2. Select the show again.
Watching on Computer:
  1. Refresh the website by clicking the reload button on your browser.
Watching on Smartphone or Tablet:
  1. Swipe or press the back button on your phone, and tap the 'x' in the bottom right corner to close the video.
  2. Select the show again.




YouTube: Can I rewind or start the show late?


Yes! You can join the show late or watch it anytime on YouTube. The recording of the show will be available anytime on YouTube for the entire run of the show. So enjoy the show anytime you want! You are able to pause, rewind, or fast-forward anything on our YouTube. Don't forget to LIKE our videos and SUBSCRIBE to our YouTube channel to be notified of our new shows.




YouTube: I don't see my TV in the list of cast destinations.


If you are trying to cast to your TV but don't see your TV in the list of cast destinations, try these steps: Casting from a Computer:

  • Make sure you are using the Google Chrome web browser.
  • You must have a Chromecast-enabled TV or a Chromecast device.
  • If you have a Smart TV with the YouTube app you cannot cast from your computer.
  • Make sure your device is connected to the same Wi-Fi network as your TV.
  • Restart your Wi-Fi router by unplugging the power for several seconds.
Casting from your Smartphone or Tablet:
  • Make sure your device is connected to the same Wi-Fi network as your TV.
  • If you have a Smart TV with the YouTube app installed:
    • I haven't linked my smart device to my Smart TV's YouTube app.
      1. See "How to link your smart device to your Smart TV's YouTube app".
    • I already linked my smart device to my Smart TV's YouTube app.
      1. On your Smart TV open the YouTube app.
      2. On your smart device select "YouTube on TV" from the list of cast destinations.
  • Restart your Wi-Fi router by unplugging the power for several seconds.

How do I cancel my subscription to The Inner Circle?


To cancel, please call us at 717-232-6736 or login to your account and manage your subscription.




How do I request my free Chromecast device?


You'll need:

  • An Open Stage account and subscription to the Director Circle or higher.
Steps:
  1. Log in to our website at the top right.
  2. Go to your benefits page.
  3. Under the heading "Free Chromecast" select the link to fill out the form.
Once you fill out the form we will order a Chromecast and ship it to the address you provide within 3-5 business days. Tracking information will be emailed to you as well.




How can I change the way my name is listed as a Producer?


You'll need:

  • An Open Stage account and subscription to the Producer Circle or higher.
When you join The Inner Circle as part of the Producer Circle or higher, we automatically add your name to our show websites and programs. If you'd like to change what is displayed or update it to include your partners name, or family name here's how: Steps:
  1. Log in to our website at the top right.
  2. Go to your benefits page.
  3. Under the heading "Producer Credit" select the link to fill out the form.




What is The Vault, and how do I use it?


The Vault is where you can watch our recorded shows after the run has ended. All members of The Inner Circle can login and access The Vault. You'll need:

  • An Open Stage account and subscription to The Inner Circle.
Steps:
  1. Log in to our website at the top right.
  2. Go to your benefits page.
  3. Under the heading "The Vault" select the link to access The Vault.
  4. If you're on a computer use the arrows on the side of the webpage to scroll through the shows, if you're on a smartphone you can swipe with your finger to horizontally scroll through the shows.
  5. Select a show to watch.
