Spirit of Anne Frank FundSince 2000, public performances of THE DIARY OF ANNE FRANK have been given on an annual basis including subsidized school matinees for over 21,500 students. In conjunction with the play, Open Stage has developed educational programs for young and old, including post-performance panel discussions and lectures by Holocaust survivors and scholars, as well as the distribution of extensive study guides providing details of Anne Frank, the Holocaust and WWII. In the spring of 2009, to commemorate the 10th anniversary year of presenting THE DIARY OF ANNE FRANK, Open Stage established a fund at the Jewish Community Foundation of Central Pennsylvania. The purpose of the Fund is to support theatrical productions that explore the value of diversity, improve intergroup relations, and combat racism, anti-Semitism, and all forms of prejudice and bigotry including, but not limited to, the current production of THE DIARY OF ANNE FRANK.
