The course culminates in the performance of a fully-staged musical May 16-18, 2014. This year's project is THE HOBBIT, a musical interpretation of J.R.R. Tolkien's classic fantasy, and will include the participation of adult professionals in the cast. The company membership is by audition only for new students.

AUDITIONS ARE SATURDAY, AUG 31 at 9:30AM. Call 717-214-3248 to schedule an audition.

Fall OSHKids Classes are Saturday mornings, 9am-11am, September 21 - October 26

Spring Rehearsals for THE HOBBIT begin March 24, 2014 and are Mondays to Thursday 6-8:30pm and Saturday mornings 9am-12.

Both the Fall classes and Spring rehearsals are included in the course.

The public performances are May 16 at 7pm, May 17 at 11am and 7pm, and May 18 at 2pm.

A PROGRAM FOR SERIOUS HIGH SCHOOL ACTORS!

A new college and career preparation program for high school students. A three-year program designed to prepare the serious young actor for the rigors of the college and conservatory audition process, a prospective professional career, or the continued study of and participation in theatre. The program also includes parent mentoring, master classes with Broadway and university professionals, and a student showcase. Students may enter the program at any time during their high school years. Admittance to the program is by audition only.

The WISH UPON A STAR Project

(ages 8-11)

June 23 - July 11, 2014

An exploration of the music of animated films that offers young actors the opportunity to experience theatre magic in a production that they help to dream up!

Week One - "Exploring" Students will learn to develop characters, and begin the production process.

Week Two - "Building" Students will create their own sets and costumes, learn the music and analyze the script. (Please note there will be no class on July 4.)

Week Three - "Show Time" Students will prepare for performances that weekend.

Public Performances: Friday, July 11, 6 PM and 8 PM

An intensive three-week program in acting, singing, and movement focusing on the repertoire of classic and contemporary music theatre. Includes a field trip to New York City, a ticket to a Broadway show and an audition workshop with professional actors. Admission to the program is by audition only, and its faculty is comprised of teaching professionals in the field of music theatre.

AUDITIONS: Saturday, June 14, 2014. Students should memorize and perform 32 bars of a song from the music theatre repertoire and a one-minute monologue from a published play. Please have sheet music. An accompanist will be provided. Call 717-214-3248 for an audition appointment.
